I am happy to announce the release of TransparentRETS 1.2.7. This is the first public release of TranspraentRETS since 1.2.4. If you are wonder what happened to 1.2.5 and 1.2.6 they were fixes we built during development and released to a few clients to work around vendor specific issues. This new release adds many work arounds to solve issues with non compliant RETS servers, and also a few user interface changes to assist users with MLS that have all numeric field names.

New Features:

  • Ability to force our client to update our cached metadata. This should help solve the problem some clients have seen with new fields not showing up becuase the server does not correctly update the metadata version.
  • Updated documentation for the remapper.php file.
  • Support for the new Marketlinx RETS server which sends back the wrong MIME type.
  • Corrected possible metadata corruption when the server had no VisibleName for classes.
  • Improved Image clean-up routine.
  • Improved client performance during metadata updates.
  • Improved error reporting when server is unavailable or rejects the login.
  • Improved parsing of Digest Authentication to improve detection of Stale authentications.
  • Added TimeZone Offset support to work around non compliant Marketlinx servers that do not accept GMT timestamps.
  • Prevent deletion of non RETS images from listings.

We hope this release will improve everyone user experience. As always we are continually testing our product with RETS servers from Marketlinx, FBS Data Systems, Fidelity, Rapattoni, Solidearth, Filogix, CRT (Variman) and others.

With this release now complete our work will begin on adding support for the RETS 1.7.2 standard that will be published shortly. We expect this next release with 1.7.2 support to occur in December then the RETS workgroup launches their new compliance test suite.
