We are very pleased to announce the release of TransparentMaps 1.2 addon for Open-Relaty today. A lot of work has gone into this release, we have tried to accommodate as many user feature request as possible which has resulted in a large list of new features. We hope you enjoy this release, we have many plans and ideas for future updates, and hope that you will let us know if there are any features you need as well. New Features:
We just posted Open-Realty 2.5.3. This update is primarily a bug fix release. We have also improved performance slightly and also added help links for all the admin pages. This release also solves some issues with TransparentMaps and the tabbed listing detail templates.
A lot of people have been asking when the TransparentMaps release I talked about on the 6th will be out.. We started getting emails on the 7th about the release in fact.. It was schedule to go out last week, but some problems here pulled me away from the project and delayed the release. The good news we are just working to update the add-ons configuration screens will all of the new options and then run some last minute test.. We have managed to get in some more features that I did not think originally would make it into this release as well.
I was asked to come back and speak at the NAR annual conference again this fall. Thanks to everyone who showed up last year for our talk on Creating a RETS Powered Broker Website. This year I will be joining Andrew Tillman from CRT and John Holley from NTREIS to talk about the impact of the MLS policy requiring RETS. I hope to again this year meet some of our customers at the conference and talk with you face to face. If you are going to be at the conference please let us know. On a daily basis we get emails from people that sound increasingly like this: “My developer left me high and dry” or “My SEO firm says my site can not use PHP” or maybe my personal favorite “I spent a huge amount of money with company X and they did not do what I wanted and I now need it done for nothing”. I am consistently amazed that people do not do more research into the companies and people they hire, but I am also equally dismayed by the individuals and firms who are trying to pass themselves off as developers and SEO experts who have little to none in regard to real expertise to offer. My shock and awe aside, I wanted to post some helpful tips here for Realtors when dealing with us technical folks in and effort to educate you to help make sure you are not going to get ripped-off. Some of these topics I will discuss will be very simple and obvious to many of you, but sadly, most are often not followed or considered.
I am happy to announce the release of TransparentRETS 1.2.7. This is the first public release of TranspraentRETS since 1.2.4. If you are wonder what happened to 1.2.5 and 1.2.6 they were fixes we built during development and released to a few clients to work around vendor specific issues. This new release adds many work arounds to solve issues with non compliant RETS servers, and also a few user interface changes to assist users with MLS that have all numeric field names.
We have been working on a new release of TransparentMaps, which we plan on release in the next 1-2 weeks. We have had a lot of feedback from customers on the previous releases, and have tried to accommodate a number of customer requests into this release. I thought I would take some time to talk about some of the exciting new features planned for this upcoming release.
